Updating Personal Data
It is important that the information you provide to us (identification data, IBAN, etc.) is accurate and up to date. If there are any significant changes to your personal data, please inform us as soon as possible.
When and how do we collect your personal data?
MoverAid collects your personal data via phone, in writing, through its websites, and through the Customer Area, ensuring, whenever necessary, the prior consent of the personal data holder. Some personal data are essential for contract execution, and if missing or insufficient, MoverAid cannot provide the relevant product or service.
If the personal data holder is not a MoverAid Customer/User, the corresponding personal data will only be processed when provided, notably by subscribing to newsletter delivery, in which case the rules of the Personal Data Protection Policy will apply.
The collected personal data can be processed electronically and automatically or non-automatically, always ensuring strict compliance with personal data protection legislation, stored in specific databases, created for this purpose, and under no circumstances will the collected data be used for any purpose other than that for which they were collected or consented by the data holder.
Who is responsible for processing personal data?

Who are the recipients of personal data?
Notwithstanding the recipients indicated throughout the Personal Data Protection Policy, MoverAid may communicate the personal data of the Customer/User for the fulfillment of legal obligations, namely to police, judicial, tax, and regulatory entities.
What are the purposes for processing personal data and the respective legal grounds?
Generally, the personal data collected are intended for managing the contractual relationship, providing the contracted services, adapting services to Customer/User needs and interests, especially for access to specific service features, content suggestions, local information services (notably about on-call pharmacies, proximity services, etc.), information and marketing actions, granting advantages in commercial initiatives, as well as the inclusion of Customer/Users in subscriber lists/directories.
Additionally, personal data may also be processed for compliance with legal obligations and for investigating, detecting, and suppressing serious crimes.
Without prejudice to the additional information provided when the data is collected, MoverAid may also use the personal data provided by the holder for other purposes, such as recruitment, social intervention actions, complaint and suggestion submission, dissemination of Group institutional information, or to inform about MoverAid product and/or service campaigns, promotions, advertising, and news, as well as market research or evaluation surveys, whenever legally permissible.
How long do we retain your personal data?
The duration for which personal data is stored and retained varies according to the purpose for which the information is processed. There are legal requirements that require data retention for a minimum period. Thus, whenever there is no specific legal requirement, data will be stored and retained only for the minimum period necessary for the purposes motivating their collection or subsequent processing, as defined by law.
What measures are adopted by MoverAid to ensure the security of your personal data?
Considering MoverAid’s commitment to personal data protection, several technical and organizational security measures have been adopted to protect the personal data provided against dissemination, loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorized treatment or access, and any other form of illegal processing.
Moreover, third-party entities that, within the scope of service provision, process personal data of the Customer/User in MoverAid’s name and account are contractually obligated to implement adequate technical and security measures that meet the legal requirements in force, ensuring the protection of the data holder’s rights (notably, the Customers’/Users’ privacy and personal data protection).
On all MoverAid websites, personal data collection forms require encrypted Browser sessions, and all provided personal data are securely stored in MoverAid’s systems, housed in a MoverAid Data Center with physical and logical security measures deemed essential for data protection.
Notwithstanding the security measures adopted by MoverAid, MoverAid advises all Internet users to adopt additional security measures, particularly ensuring the use of an updated PC and Browser with appropriately configured security patches, with active firewalls, antivirus and antispyware, and verifying the authenticity of the websites visited, avoiding sites whose reputation they do not trust.
Under what circumstances do we communicate data to other entities (third parties and subcontractors)?
MoverAid, in its activity, may use third parties for certain services. Sometimes, service provision requires these entities to access Customers/Users’ personal data. When this happens, MoverAid takes the appropriate measures to ensure that entities with data access are reputed and offer the highest guarantees, duly enshrined and contractually safeguarded between MoverAid and the third entity/entities.
Any entity subcontracted by MoverAid will process the personal data of our Customers/Users on behalf and for MoverAid, adopting necessary technical and organizational measures to protect the personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss, alteration, diffusion, unauthorized access, and any other form of illegal processing.
In each case, MoverAid remains responsible for the personal data provided.
Under what circumstances do we transfer your personal data?
The provision of certain services by MoverAid may require transferring your data outside Portugal, including outside the European Union or to International Organizations. In such cases, MoverAid will rigorously comply with applicable legal provisions, notably regarding the adequacy of the destination country’s data protection and applicable requirements to such transfers, including, where applicable, the execution of appropriate contractual instruments ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
What are your rights as a data subject?
As personal data subjects, Customers/Users are guaranteed the right to access, rectify, update, limit, and erase their personal data (except for the data essential to service provision duly identified on the Form as mandatory or for legal obligations imposed on the data controller), the right to object to their use for commercial purposes by MoverAid and to withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent, as well as the right to data portability.

How can you object to receiving marketing contacts?
MoverAid may promote outreach actions to its Customers/Users, offering new products or services via phone, email, SMS, MMS, or any other electronic communication service, provided the personal data subject has given the respective consent. Should the personal data subject no longer wish to receive these communications, they may at any time withdraw consent for using their data for marketing purposes.
